Graciously hosted by Mitchell Fine Art, the new gallery provided an interactive and exciting venue located in a vibrant converted industrial space on Arthur Street Fortitude Valley. The gallery has a rich history in Australian art and Business Manager, Sharon Mitchell spoke about the company’s passion for Indigenous and emerging artists. On display were a selection of works by Australia’s leading contemporary and Indigenous artists with a common theme representing colour.
While new to the Brisbane art scene, Mitchell Fine Art generously donated a portion of all sales on the evening to support Wesley Medical Research. On top of this, a one of a kind artwork was donated for a silent auction which raised an additional $1,300. Thank you to the generosity of Mitchell Fine Art and those guests who placed a bid and purchased on the evening. The upcoming September exhibition by Australian pop-artist Johnny Romeo is a stand out of their 2016 calendar, you can view their upcoming exhibitions here.
As with all Luxury Network events there was a strong representation by premium brands and businesses across multiple industries. A diverse range of guests set the scene for some stimulating conversation and new relationships to be created. Special mention to Caxton Street Catering, who demonstrated why they are one of Australia’s leading food designers and creators by delivering a first class culinary experience and service.
